She graduated from school in Lublin. In 1939 she joined the underground. Arrested on February 21, 1942, she was sent to Ravensbrück. In August 1945, she returned to Poland. The same year she entered the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, and in 1948 moved to the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Together with her husband Bogdan, she was involved in illustrating children's books.
